Bethune-Cookman Wildcats Betting Preview
The Wildcats got the unenviable opener matchup versus Texas Tech this year and got promptly blown out. Bethune-Cookman put up a 50-28 deficit by halftime and ended up losing 94-61. Reggie Ward led the team with 15 points and seven rebounds in the loss.
Game two versus Nebraska was closer but still the same result. Bethune-Cookman kept the pace in the second half after falling behind 29-24 and lost the game 63-58. The only double-digit scorer on the team was Gianni Hunt with 10 points and six rebounds.
Fort Wayne Mastodons Betting Preview
Over on the Fort Wayne side, they jumped out to a 49-26 lead over Bluffton in their opener, ultimately cruising to a blowout victory 99-47. Rasheed Bello led the way with 16 points, and Eric Mulder doubled with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
In game two versus UCF, the Mastodons were behind by one point going into the second half. Fort Wayne was outscored 41-35 from there and lost 75-68. Mulder (six rebounds) and Quinton Morton-Robertson (five rebounds) each scored 11 points to top the team. PFW will play against Southern Indiana, Penn State, and Drexel following this one.

Bethune-Cookman vs Fort Wayne Prediction
I’ll probably stay with Fort Wayne. The Mastodons were able to hang around with a good UCF team for the first half in their latest outing but faded down the stretch. Fort Wayne ended up shooting 43.1 percent from the field in that one with 13 turnovers and a 44-30 rebounding deficit.
As for B-CU, they were out-rebounded 41-39 by Nebraska with 35.5 percent shooting from the field. The Wildcats’ ugliest stat was the 22 turnovers, however. If Bethune-Cookman can clean up the mistakes they’ll be competitive here but I don’t think they’ll outpace Fort Wayne cover-wise.
