Baylor Bears Betting Preview
Baylor has had a choppy year so far, but they’re still firmly above the .500 mark. The Bears opened on an 11-4 stretch, taking out Arkansas, Sam Houston, Tarleton State, St. John’s, New Orleans, Abilene Christian, Norfolk State, Arlington Baptist, Utah, Cincinnati, and Arizona State along the way. Baylor has gone 5-6 since then though, beating Kansas State, Utah, Kansas, UCF, and West Virginia among losses otherwise versus Arizona, TCU, BYU, Texas Tech, Houston, and Arizona. That gives Baylor a 16-10 overall run through their first 26 games so far.
In the Arizona game on Monday, the Bears came out of halftime with a 41-33 deficit. Baylor posted a 34-33 run from there but didn’t get much closer in a 74-67 loss in the end. VJ Edgecombe led the team with 24 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Norchad Omier notched a double-double with 15 points, 11 rebounds and two steals in 37 minutes.
Colorado Buffaloes Betting Preview
Over on the Buffaloes’ side, they started out the season great. Colorado has struggled mightily since late December, though. In their first 11 games, the Buffaloes took a nice 9-2 run with losses to only Michigan State and Iowa State. There’s only been one win (over UCF) since then, though. The losses otherwise have come versus Iowa State, Arizona State, UCF, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Oklahoma State, BYU, Arizona, Arizona State, TCU, Utah, Houston, Kansas, and Iowa State. That gives the Buffaloes a 10-16 record across 26 games this year overall.
Matched up against a good Iowa State team on the road Tuesday, the Buffaloes came out of the break with a 45-28 deficit. Colorado got better in the second half on a 37-34 run but still lost 79-65 by the game’s end. Bangot Dak led the team with 20 points, four rebounds, and two steals. Harrison Carrington added 11 points and three rebounds off the bench, while Andrej Jakimovski had 10 points with four rebounds. Julian Hammond chipped in with nine points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal in the losing effort as well.

Baylor vs Colorado Prediction
I’ll stick with Baylor. The Bears are coming off a pretty flat effort against a good Arizona team in their last outing, but this should be a good spot to get their proverbial mojo back. Baylor shot just 40 percent against the Wildcats with a 37-31 rebounding deficit and 12 turnovers during their latest loss. It’s been a choppy 3-3 run over the last six games for the Bears, with fewer than 68 points scored in all three losses.
As for Colorado, they ran into the Iowa State buzzsaw in their last game. The Buffaloes didn’t help their cause by shooting 4-of-17 (23.5 percent) from 3-point range and 13-of-22 (59.1 percent) from the line and also gave up 14 turnovers for 18 Cyclones points. Colorado gave up 51.1 percent shooting to Iowa State but did stay pretty competitive on the boards. Still, considering the Buffaloes have been below 66 points in five of the last six games (all five were losses) I’m not thrilled about their chances at powering out a cover here. Baylor should be in control.
