New Orleans hit just 14.3 percent (3-of-21) from outside and had 14 turnovers. The good news is that the Privateers had a sizable 37-26 rebounding edge and held the Cowboys to a reasonable 42.1 percent shooting on defense. New Orleans is still 3-1 in their last four games, scoring 77 or more points in three of those.
These teams last saw each other back on January 12 in a 79-72 road win for the Privateers. In that one New Orleans shot a pretty solid 44.7 percent from the field with 79.5 percent (31-of-39) from the line and a 39-31 rebounding edge. The Privateers held the Lions to just 36.1 percent shooting from the field but didn’t help their cause with 14 turnovers. In theory at least, the home rematch should go a bit smoother for New Orleans.
