Army Black Knights Betting Preview

The Army Black Knights are 2-1 this year after they defeated Mt. Saint Mary by a score of 101-48 in their last game. Army led 53-26 at halftime and they only allowed 22 points in the second half in the win. The Black Knights shot 53.4% from the field, 40% on three-pointers, and 83.3% on free throws in the game. Ryan Curry led Army with 20 points and eight assists in the victory.

Prior to that game, the Black Knights lost to Duke by a score of 100-58 but did beat Albany by a score of 67-59 in their first two games. Army has scored 75.3 points per game and they have allowed 69 points per game, while also averaging 39.3 rebounds and 17.3 assists per game this season. Josh Scovens is averaging 18.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game, while Army is shooting 43.9% from the field, 72.1% on free throws, and 34.1% on three-pointers this year. Army will play against Fairleigh Dickinson and Manhattan following this one.

Marist Red Foxes Betting Preview

The Marist Red Foxes are 1-1 this season after they defeated Richmond by a score of 79-72 in their last game. Marist trailed 44-41 at halftime, but they held Richmond to just 28 points in the second half for the win. Why Marist will cover

  • Marist has won four of its last five games at McCann Arena.
  • Army has lost four of its last five games against the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
  • Army has lost the first half in each of its last three road games.

Army vs Marist Prediction

Marist comes into this matchup after picking up a very nice win against Richmond last time out and they will look for their second win in a row. The Red Foxes have allowed 75.5 points per game this season and they are only shooting 42.3% from the field, but they have played two decent teams. Army was blown out by Duke and won a tight game with Albany in their two D-1 games so far this season, but they are averaging about seven more rebounds per game. This should be a pretty close game, but I am taking Marist to build on that great second half against Richmond.

David Racey's Pick: Marist ATS
