In the Colorado matchup on Saturday the Sun Devils entered the second half sporting a 10-point deficit. Arizona State got better from there on a 51-47 run but still lost 95-89 in the end. Moe Odum put up 21 points with 12 assists and three rebounds. Both Massamba Diop (three rebounds) and Anthony Johnson (six rebounds) each had 20 points and two assists as well.
BYU Cougars Betting Preview
Over on the BYU side, they won their first three games this year before a November 15 loss to UConn. The Cougars have since taken out Wisconsin, Miami, Dayton, Cal Baptist, Clemson, UC Riverside, Pacific, Abilene Christian, Eastern Washington and Kansas State in succession though, giving the team a very nice 13-1 overall record through the first 14 outings of the season.
In the Kansas State game over the weekend the Cougars were up by 10 points at the break. BYU kept the pace from there on a 38-38 run and took the eventual win 83-73. AJ Dybantsa was tops in scoring with 24 points and eight rebounds while Robert Wright had 18 points with four rebounds and five assists. Keba Keita managed to double up with 11 points and 16 rebounds in the victory as well.

I’ll stay with the Cougars I suppose. BYU is coming off another nice road win over a pretty good Kansas State team in their most recent outing. The Cougars shot 44.4 percent from the field in that one with a 42-32 rebounding edge, 17 team assists and six blocks. The turnovers (18) were pretty excessive though, and the Cougars were outscored in the paint 48-32 along the way. During this current 10-gam win streak, BYU has managed to score 72 or more points in all but one game (67 in a three-point win over Clemson being the outlier).
As for Arizona State, they were out-rebounded 40-30 by Colorado in their latest loss and put up 14 turnovers along the way. The Sun Devils also gave up 49.2 percent shooting on defense. That makes three straight losses for Arizona State; they’ve given up 78 or more points in each of those games but they’ve also scored 75 or more themselves in each. This one’s likely to be a high total as well.
