Alabama Crimson Tide Betting Preview
Record-wise, Alabama was looking great back in mid-February but there have been some bumps in the road since then. The Tide lost to only Purdue and Oregon over their first eight games this year, then hit a winning streak from December 4 to January 14 when they took their third loss of the season versus Ole Miss. Alabama recovered with wins over Kentucky, Vanderbilt, LSU, Mississippi State, Georgia, Arkansas, and Texas, but they’ve beaten only Kentucky and Mississippi State since then. Otherwise, it’s been losses to Auburn, Missouri, Tennessee, and Florida in that six-game stretch. That gives Alabama a 23-7 overall record through the first 30 games of the 2024-25 campaign.
In the Florida matchup at home on Wednesday, the Tide exited the first half with a 41-40 deficit. Alabama didn’t end up getting any closer on a 58-54 run from there and took the eventual loss 99-94 in the end. Tops in scoring during the defeat was Mark Sears with 30 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Labaron Philon added 19 points with five rebounds and four assists, while Clifford Omoruyi chipped in 11 points with seven boards and two assists.
Auburn Tigers Betting Preview
Over on the Tigers’ side, it’s been a great season so far with only a few scattered losses in the books. Auburn won their first seven games before falling to Duke, then took out Richmond, Ohio State, Georgia State, Purdue, Monmouth, Missouri, Texas, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma from there. After a loss to Florida, Auburn beat Vanderbilt, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Ole Miss, and Kentucky ahead of another loss to Texas A&M. Auburn is now 27-3 on the year after 30 games so far.
Matched up against Texas A&M on Tuesday, the Tigers went into the second half with a 40-34 deficit. Auburn was outscored 43-38 from there and took the road defeat 83-72. Tops in scoring was Tahaad Pettiford with 19 points, two rebounds and two assists in 35 minutes. Chad Baker-Mazara added 15 points with five assists, two blocks and three rebounds. Miles Kelly also finished in double-digits with 12 points, four assists, five steals and three rebounds.

Alabama vs Auburn Prediction
I’m going to stay with Auburn. The Tigers took an upset loss to a very physical Texas A&M squad in their last game despite hitting 50 percent from the field, 40.9 percent (9-of-22) from outside, and 86.7 percent (13-of-15) from the line. Auburn gave up 43.1 percent on the other side and got blasted on the boards 41-25 (24-9 offensive) alongside 13 turnovers for 18 Aggies points. It certainly wasn’t the Tigers’ best effort, but the 72 points wasn’t a bad total, all things considered.
Back on February 15 when these teams last met, Auburn powered out a 94-85 road victory. The Tigers got out-rebounded in that one as well 49-40 but offset it with 46.2 percent shooting from the field and just four turnovers. Auburn needs to reassert themselves in this rematch with clean shooting and few mistakes. I like the Tigers to bounce back with a victory/cover in this home game.
