Oregon Ducks Betting Preview
The Ducks had a bad run going in January and February, but outside of that it’s been a pretty great season. Oregon opened on a 15-2 run with losses to only UCLA and Illinois during that stretch. The Ducks would win just one (over Washington) of their next seven games though, otherwise falling to Purdue, Minnesota, UCLA, Nebraska, Michigan and Michigan State. Since then however, Oregon has been on a roll with wins over Northwestern, Rutgers, Iowa, Wisconsin, USC, Indiana, Washington and Indiana again. That gives the Ducks a 24-8 overall run through 32 games so far this season.
On Thursday versus Indiana in tournament play, the Ducks came out of the break with a 37-29 edge and cruised to the win 72-59 with 35 more points in the second half. Oregon’s leading scorer was Jackson Shelstad with 18 points, three rebounds and two assists in 38 minutes.

Michigan State Spartans Betting Preview
Over on the Spartans’ side, they had a brief ugly run back in February but aside from that they’re doing very well this year. Michigan State went 5-2 over their first seven games, then caught fire with wins over North Carolina, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oakland, FAU, Western Michigan, Ohio State, Washington, Northwestern, Penn State, Illinois, Rutgers and Minnesota. losses to USC, UCLA and Indiana (with a win over Oregon) came in the next four games. Since then it’s been wins over Illinois, Purdue, Michigan, Maryland, Wisconsin, Iowa and Michigan again. That gives the Spartans a 26-5 record over their first 31 games this year.
In the Michigan rematch at home on Sunday, the Spartans entered the second half with a 50-28 edge. Michigan State slowed a bit on a 34-29 deficit from there during a 79-62 win. Oregon vs Michigan State Prediction
I’ll lean toward the Spartans. Michigan State rolled right on past a very good Michigan team in their last outing, hitting 44.6 percent from the field, 37.5 percent (9-of-24) from outside and 20-of-24 (83.3 percent) from the line. The Spartans had a 39-30 rebounding edge and held the Wolverines to just 36.5 percent from the field. The 15 turnovers were just about the only major blemish. That makes seven straight wins for the Spartans, with 71 or more points in each.
These teams last met back on February 8 in an 86-74 home win for the Spartans. Michigan State got off to a rough start in that one with a 50-36 first-half deficit, but to their credit the Spartans posted a nice comeback from there. MSU would ultimately shoot 50 percent from the field with 44.4 percent (8-of-18) from 3-point range and 24-of-27 (88.9 percent) from the line. The Spartans owned the boards 40-27, but did cough up 12 turnovers for a whopping 28 Ducks points. Michigan State needs to control the mistakes a lot better in this tournament
