Louisiana Tech Bulldogs Betting Preview
The Bulldogs have been on a choppy run since early February, but overall they’re still doing pretty well record-wise. LA Tech opened on an 11-2 run, then fell to UTEP, New Mexico State, Jacksonville State, and Kennesaw State over the next six. Wins over Western Kentucky, Middle Tennessee, and Sam Houston came next. Since then it’s been a 4-5 run for the Bulldogs featuring wins over FIU, Middle Tennessee, Sam Houston, and UTEP. The losses otherwise have come versus Liberty, Kennesaw State, Jacksonville State, Western Kentucky, and New Mexico State. That gives LA Tech a 20-11 overall run through 31 games this year so far.
In the UTEP home rematch on Saturday, the Bulldogs entered the second half with a 34-22 edge. LA Tech hit a 42-36 run the rest of the way and took the victory in the end 76-58. Al Green led the team with 20 points with three rebounds and two assists, while Amaree Abram had 13 points with three rebounds. Sean Newman added 11 points with five assists and two rebounds in 27 minutes of action as well.
Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders Betting Preview
Over on the Middle Tennessee side, they’ve had a couple of spotty runs this year themselves but overall they’re doing pretty well. The Raiders opened on a 10-5 run through their first 15 games, then beat Kennesaw State, Jacksonville State, Western Kentucky, and Sam Houston in the next four. A 3-4 run came next with wins over UTEP, Kennesaw State, and Western Kentucky among losses to LA Tech, New Mexico State, Jacksonville State, and LA Tech again. Since then it’s been a 4-1 run with a lone loss to Liberty among wins over Sam Houston, New Mexico State, UTEP, and FIU. In total that gives the Raiders a 21-10 record across their first 31 games of the 2024-25 campaign.
Matched up against FIU last weekend, the Raiders were up 41-20 by the break and cruised to a 78-56 win with 37 more points in the second half. Leading the team in scoring was Camryn Weston with 15 points, five rebounds, and two assists.

Louisiana Tech vs Middle Tennessee Prediction
I’ll try Middle Tennessee in this one, but you could easily call it for the Bulldogs. We should have a pretty good matchup here, all things considered. The Raiders didn’t have much trouble with a struggling FIU team in their last outing, shooting a nice 48.4 percent from the field with a 45-31 rebounding advantage and 19 team assists. MTSU held the Panthers to just 33.9 percent shooting on the other side but also gave up 15 turnovers for 15 FIU points. That said, Middle Tennessee is 4-1 in their last five games with 71 or more points scored in all five.
The Blue Raiders lost both meetings between these teams this year: 75-69 on the road on January 25 and 85-74 at home on February 20. Middle Tennessee got into some turnover trouble (11 for 12 Bulldogs points) in the loss last month, so they’re going to have to watch the ball-handling miscues this time around.
