Weber State Wildcats Betting Preview
The Wildcats had a pretty good run going in November/December, but outside of that, it’s been a struggle this season. Weber State opened its campaign with a win over Northwest Indian, then dropped games to Oregon State, Nevada, Hawaii, and UC Irvine. A winning streak came next over Justice College, Bowling Green, and Pepperdine before losses to North Dakota State and North Dakota in the next pair. The Wildcats beat Utah Tech and Lincoln University CA in the next two, then took four straight losses to Utah Valley, Oregon, Northern Colorado, and Northern Arizona for a 6-10 overall run so far this season.
In the Northern Arizona matchup back on January 4, the Wildcats entered the second half with a 41-38 deficit. Weber State kept the pace from there on a 39-39 run and ended up with a loss of 80-77 by the final horn. Leading the team in scoring during the losing effort was Vasilije Vucinic with 19 points and eight rebounds alongside one steal. Blaise Threatt added 15 points with six assists and three rebounds, while Dyson Koehler chipped in 13 points with five rebounds. Tops in bench scoring during the defeat was Vijami Vartiainen with 10 points and three boards.
Idaho State Bengals Betting Preview
Over on the Idaho State side, they’ve had a bit of a struggle so far this year and haven’t been able to keep their proverbial heads above .500 in the record column. The Bengals’ year got off to a 2-4 start with wins over Southern Oregon and San Diego with losses otherwise versus Arizona State, USC, Cal State Fullerton, and UCLA. A 4-3 stretch came afterward with wins over Embry-Riddle AZ, Oral Roberts, Walla Walla, and Northern Arizona alongside losses to South Dakota, Utah Valley, and Northern Colorado otherwise for a 6-7 start so far.
In the loss to Northern Colorado, the Bengals were down by just two going into the second half. Idaho State fought back with 42 points from there to force overtime but ended up taking a tough result 93-92. Leading the team in the losing effort was Dylan Darling with 22 points and seven assists with two rebounds. Jake O’Neil added 21 points and eight rebounds with four steals, and Isaiah Griffin put up 20 points with four rebounds in 37 minutes of work.

Weber State vs Idaho State Prediction
I’ll stick with the Bengals. There’s not a lot to get excited about here, but this will be a good opportunity for Idaho State to get back to .500 on the year if all goes well. The Bengals shot a nice 54.7 percent from the field in their latest loss to Northern Colorado but also gave up 62.1 percent on the other side and had 16 turnovers along the way. Idaho State has scored well recently though, posting 70 or more points in seven of the last eight games.
As for Weber State, they were pretty generous to Northern Arizona in their latest outing, giving up 50.9 percent shooting from the field in the tight loss. The Wildcats have given up 80 or more points in three straight games (all losses), so the Bengals should have plenty of room to score here.
