Delaware Blue Hens Betting Preview
Delaware has been pretty erratic so far this year, but they’ve got a couple of solid runs in the record column. The Blue Hens opened up with a rough 2-3 stretch with wins over Robert Morris and Iona alongside losses to Bucknell, Bryant, and Vermont. A 5-1 stretch came in the next six with a lone loss to Duquesne amid wins over Yale, Rider, Delaware State, Chestnut Hill College, and Misericordia. Following three straight losses versus Saint Peter’s, St. John’s, and Northeastern, Delaware got a win over Monmouth for an 8-7 run over their first 15 outings.
In the North Carolina A&T matchup on Thursday, the Hens posted a pretty solid overall effort. Delaware was up 47-41 by halftime, then cruised on a 51-47 run the rest of the way for a nice road win 98-88. Top scorer Izaiah Pasha had 22 points with five rebounds, six assists, and two steals. John Camden doubled up on 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Niels Lane had 18 points, four rebounds, and two assists in 29 minutes. Macon Emory came off the bench to chip in 12 points with six rebounds and a pair of blocks in 23 minutes of work on the floor.
Hampton Pirates Betting Preview
Over on the Hampton side, they’ve been quite erratic as well this year, but similarly, the Pirates have a good stretch or two so far. Hampton took a 3-5 record through their first eight outings, beating only Mid-Atlantic Christian, UMBC, and Duquesne amid losses otherwise versus George Washington, Providence, Norfolk State, Boise State, and High Point. A nice five-game win streak came next with victories over North Carolina A&T, Apprentice School, Regent, Loyola Maryland, and Howard. In the next pair, Hampton fell back into the loss column, taking defeats at the hands of Charleston and Elon for an 8-7 stretch across the first 15 games.
In their game versus Campbell on Thursday, the Pirates were looking good after the first half. Hampton held a 30-20 advantage in the locker room, then got blitzed 46-25 from there for a 66-55 loss in the end. Topping the team in the losing effort was starter George Beale with 15 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Kyrese Mullen added 10 points and two boards off the bench, while Daniel Johnson chipped in nine points with seven rebounds.

Delaware vs Hampton Prediction
I’ll lean toward Delaware. The Hens did well against a struggling North Carolina A&T team in their last outing, shooting 55.6 percent from the field with 8-of-19 (42.1 percent) from 3-point range and 20-of-25 (80 percent) from the line. The 44-33 rebounding edge and 20 team assists helped as well; the only real blemish was the 14 turnover total for 15 Aggies points. Delaware is cooking on the scoreboard lately with 76 or more points in four straight games.
As for Hampton, they had an ugly second half in their loss to Campbell. The Pirates ended up giving away 17 turnovers for 17 Camels points in that one, which really was the difference in the game. Hampton has been below 68 points in three straight, so I don’t think they’ll keep pace here.
