Georgia Bulldogs Betting Preview
The Bulldogs got off to a solid 14-5 start this year, then faded down the stretch. Georgia went just 1-9 at one point in January/February before a win over Ole Miss. Following a regular-season-ending loss to Auburn, the Bulldogs took out Missouri in the conference tourney before another loss to Florida.
In their First Round NIT matchup versus Xavier, the Bulldogs got back into the win column. Georgia jumped out to a 46-34 halftime edge but had to hang on for a 78-76 win after a wild second half. Silas Demary was the team’s leading scorer with his 16 points and four assists.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons Betting Preview
Over on the Wake Forest side, they had a rough 2-5 run late in the season themselves. The Deacons finished off the regular schedule with a win over Clemson, then took out Notre Dame in the conference tournament. Wake Forest lost 81-69 to Pittsburgh in the next outing, though.
Matched up against Appalachian State in the First Round of the NIT, the Deacons didn’t have too many issues. Wake Forest was up 36-27 going into the second half, then hit a 51-49 run to close out an 87-76 win. Kevin Miller was tops on his 31 points, three assists and two steals. Wake Forest already lost to Georgia this season, which was one of three non-conference defeats alongside Utah and LSU.

Georgia vs Wake Forest Prediction
I’ll stay with Wake Forest here. The Deacons made short work of a pretty good App State team in their last outing, hitting 48.3 percent from the field and 80.6 percent (25-of-31) from the line. Wake Forest managed a 39-31 rebounding edge as well. It’s been a good scoring run for the Deacons lately, with a nice 69 or more points in six straight games.
As for Georgia, they faded in the second half versus Xavier but still managed to pull off the gritty win thanks to 22 points off 15 Musketeers turnovers. The Bulldogs haven’t won consecutive games since way back in early January, though, so this matchup will be an uphill battle.
