The Bradley Braves and the Cincinnati Bearcats meet Saturday in the college basketball NIT Tournament Second Round at the Fifth Third Arena. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Bradley vs. Cincinnati Prediction.
Bradley Team Preview
The Bradley Braves come into this game looking to build on a 74-62 win over Loyola-Chicago in the opening round. Connor Hickman leads the Braves in scoring with 14.5 PPG along with 3.3 RPG and 3 APG while Duke Deen has 14.1 PPG with 3.1 RPG and a team-high 3.9 APG to lead the Braves in the assist department this season. Malevy Leons has 13.7 PPG with a team-high 7 RPG to lead the Braves in rebounding while Darius Hannah has 11.6 PPG with 6.3 RPG to cap off the scoring in double figures for Bradley so far this season. As a team, Bradley is averaging 74.6 PPG on 47.4% shooting from the field, 37.3% from three and 72.2% from the foul line this season.
Cincinnati Team Preview
The Cincinnati Bearcats picked up a 73-72 win over San Francisco in the opening round to earn their spot here. Two games before, they beat Kansas and then lost to Baylor. Dan Skillings Jr. leads the Bearcats in scoring with 12.2 PPG and 6.3 RPG while Day Day Thomas has 10.8 PPG and a team-high 3.2 APG to lead the Bearcats in assists. Simas Lukosius has 10.9 PPG with 3.1 RPG and 3 APG to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for Cincinnati up to this point in the year. Viktor Lakhin has 9.8 PPG with 6.4 RPG and Aziz Bandaogo has a team-high 7.8 RPG while John Newman III has 9.5 PPG with 5 RPG. As a team, Cincinnati is averaging 75.3 PPG on 44.5% shooting from the field, 32.6% from three and 69% from the foul line this season.
Bradley vs. Cincinnati Prediction
I’m leaning towards Bradley here. I think the Braves are a good enough team with a defense that travels to keep this one reasonably close and to maybe have a shot to win outright. Cincinnati didn’t look great against San Francisco and you could make a strong case that Cincinnati shouldn’t be in this matchup. I’ll side with the Braves and the points.
Chris’s Pick Bradley +6
