The Wisconsin Badgers and the Purdue Boilermakers meet Saturday in college basketball action from Target Center. Let’s get into our Wisconsin vs Purdue prediction. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Pick Dawgz.
Wisconsin Badgers
The Badgers only lost four of their first 20 games this year, then hit a pretty rough patch. Wisconsin finished off the season on a 3-8 run. In their final four of the regular season the Badgers lost to Indiana, Illinois and Purdue before a Thursday tourney win over Maryland.
On Friday in the tournament matchup versus Northwestern, the Badgers kept their run going. Wisconsin was up 33-29 going into the second half, then hit a 37-32 stretch to finish things off on a 70-61 result. Top team scorer AJ Storr put up 30 points with six rebounds in 35 minutes during the win.

Purdue Boilermakers
Over on the Purdue side, they only lost two of their first 25 games this year (versus Northwestern and Nebraska) in a great opening run. The Boilermakers would fall to Ohio State before more wins over Rutgers, Michigan, Michigan State, Illinois and Wisconsin to close out the year.
On Friday in their tournament matchup versus Michigan State, the Boilermakers were up 34-27 by halftime. Purdue was outscored 35-33 the rest of the way but held on for the win in the end 67-62. Top scorer Zach Edey managed 29 points with 12 rebounds and four assists for a double-double.
ANDREW’S FREE WISCONSIN VS PURDUE PREDICTION
I’ll probably lean toward Purdue here. The Boilermakers didn’t necessarily play their best in the Friday game versus Michigan State though, so they’ll need a better effort here. Purdue hit a tepid 41.5 percent from the field in that one with 18-of-27 (66.7 percent) from the line and 11 turnovers in the five-point win. It matched the Boilermakers’ lowest points total of the season.
The last time these teams met up on March 10, Purdue put up a 78-70 home victory. The Boilermakers shot 49.1 percent from the field in that one with a 37-28 rebounding edge. Purdue did get into some turnover trouble though, coughing up 14 for 17 Badgers points. The Boilermakers should be able to control this one as well if all goes according to plan.
Andrew’s Pick Purdue Boilermakers -7.5
