The San Diego State Aztecs and the New Mexico Lobos meet Saturday in the college basketball Mountain West Tournament Championship at the Thomas & Mack Center. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a San Diego State vs. New Mexico Prediction.
San Diego State Team Preview
The San Diego State Aztecs booked their spot in the title game thanks to an 86-70 win over Utah State last time out. JT Toppin has 12.6 PPG with a team-high 8.8 RPG to lead the Lobos in rebounding and to round out the group of double-digit scorers for New Mexico so far this season. San Diego State vs. New Mexico Prediction
I’m on New Mexico here. I know that San Diego State’s the proven team in spots like these, they’re a team built for tournament basketball with that defense and are more than capable of picking up the win here. However, this entire tournament has felt like it’s meant more to New Mexico as San Diego State’s been considered in the NCAA tournament field for some time, while New Mexico has been paying rent on the bubble for how long they’ve been there. This New Mexico team has too much talent to miss the NCAA tournament and they’ve shown up time and time again in this tournament. Give me the Lobos to finish the story and get the win and cover here.
Chris’s Pick New Mexico +2.5
