The Saint Peter’s Peacocks and the Quinnipiac Bobcats meet Friday in the college basketball MAAC Tournament Semifinals at the Boardwalk Hall. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Saint Peter’s vs. Quinnipiac Prediction.
Saint Peter’s Team Preview
The Saint Peter’s Peacocks come into the semifinals after picking up a 50-48 win over Rider in their last matchup. Corey Washington leads the Peacocks in scoring and rebounding with 16.3 PPG along with 6.4 RPG while Latrell Reid has 11.3 PPG with 4.5 RPG and a team-high 4.6 APG as the only other double-digit scorer for Saint Peter’s while leading the Peacocks in assists this season. Quinnipiac Team Preview
The Quinnipiac Bobcats punched their ticket to the semis after securing a 76-52 beatdown win over Canisius in the last round. Matt Balanc leads the Bobcats in scoring with 18.5 PPG along with 4.8 RPG while Amarri Tice has 13.3 PPG with 6.9 RPG to lead the Bobcats on the glass so far this season. Paul Otieno has 10.6 PPG with 6.6 RPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Quinnipiac up to this point in the year. Savion Lewis also has 8 PPG with a team-high 7.2 APG to lead the Bobcats in the assist department this season. As a team, Quinnipiac is averaging 78.4 PPG on 45.2% shooting from the field, 35.2% from three and 78.6% from the foul line this season.
Saint Peter’s vs. Quinnipiac Prediction
I’m on the under here. Saint Peter’s has had a tendency of playing to their style win or lose, that means either dragging teams down for a defensive battle that they control, or making games low-scoring because they can’t find the offense to pull away. The two meetings in the regular season were higher-scoring than we’re used to seeing in this fixture, but I think we get back to basics with a spot in the finals on the line. Give me the under.
Chris’s Pick Under 138.5
