The Indiana Hoosiers and the Nebraska Cornhuskers meet Friday in Big Ten Tournament college basketball action from Target Center. Let’s get into our Indiana vs Nebraska prediction. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Pick Dawgz.
Indiana Hoosiers
The Hoosiers were 12-5 back in mid-January but then hit an ugly 2-8 stretch over the next 10 games. Indiana finished the regular season strong on a 4-0 run, though. Those victories came over Wisconsin, Maryland, Minnesota and Michigan State in succession.
On Thursday in the tournament matchup with Penn State, Indiana cut it close but kept their win streak going. The Hoosiers were up by five at the break and held on for the 61-59 win after a 32-29 second half. Kel’el Ware was the top team scorer on his 18 points and 14 rebounds alongside three blocks.

Nebraska Cornhuskers
Over on the Cornhuskers’ side, they were able to win 15 of their first 20 games this year but then hit a 1-3 stretch in February. Nebraska is rolling along at 6-1 in the last seven though, recording wins over Michigan, Penn State, Indiana, Minnesota, Rutgers and Michigan again in that time.
In the rematch versus Michigan on Sunday, the Cornhuskers took a 50-43 edge into the second half. Nebraska hit a 35-27 run the rest of the way and powered out the road victory 85-70 in the end. Tops in scoring was Keisei Tominaga with 30 points, six rebounds and two steals.
ANDREW’S FREE INDIANA VS NEBRASKA PREDICTION
I’ll likely lean toward Nebraska in this one. The Cornhuskers played a pretty solid game in their last matchup versus Michigan, hitting 57.9 percent from the field with 33 rebounds and 13 team assists. The only real blemish was the 12-of-20 (60 percent) from the line, which won’t cut it in tournament play. Nebraska has now scored 67 or more points in 10 straight games and should notch a nice total here as well.
In their last meeting on February 21, Nebraska managed an 85-70 road win over the Hoosiers. The Cornhuskers missed five of their 14 free throws (64.3 percent) and got out-rebounded 37-34 in that one but shot well enough (49.2 percent) to keep Indiana at bay. I like a similar outcome in this tournament rematch, but it should be an entertaining game regardless.
