Indiana Team Preview
The Indiana Hoosiers come into the conference tournament as the 6-seed, finishing the year 18-13 overall and 10-10 in conference play. Kel’el Ware leads the Hoosiers in scoring and rebounding with 16.1 PPG and 9.8 RPG while Malik Reneau has 15.7 PPG and 5.9 RPG. Trey Galloway has 10.6 PPG with a team-high 4.6 APG to lead the Hoosiers in the assist department and Mackenzie Mgbako has 12.2 PPG to cap off the group of double-digit scorers for Indiana so far this season. As a team, Indiana is averaging 72.9 PPG on 48.3% shooting from the field, 32.8% from three and 65.4% shooting from the foul line this season.
Penn State vs. Indiana Prediction
I’m on Indiana here. For a long time, I had Indiana pegged as one of the worst teams in the Big Ten, but the Hoosiers made me eat my words with a fairly reasonable seed in the conference tournament and if the ball bounces their way, maybe the Hoosiers can make a run in the Big Ten tournament. Penn State got their win over Michigan, but the Nittany Lions are still one of the bottom-tier teams in the conference and I just think Indiana outclasses Penn State here. Give me the Hoosiers.
