The Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns face off on Saturday in a college basketball showdown at the Moody Center. Texas might be without one of their stars, while Oklahoma looks to build on last game. Let’s take a look at who will come out on top.
What’s the Status of Dylan Disu for Texas?
Dylan Disu looked like he avoided a long term injury when he was banged up in Monday night’s loss against the Baylor Bears. If he can’t go that is a bad loss for Texas, but hopefully he will be back by the tournament. Against Baylor they were up by eight at halftime, but in the second half they were outscored 53-37 and ended up losing 93-85. Texas on the season is averaging 76 points while their defense is giving up 69.3 points per game. The offense is ranked 19th while the defense is ranked 99th. Max Abmas is averaging 17 points while shooting 43.2 percent from the field and 37.3 percent from behind the three point line.
Oklahoma Finally Back on Right Track
Oklahoma has really struggled the last month, but they are coming off a win in the last game. Oklahoma scored 74 points against Cincinnati and they and they ended up winning by three points. Le’Tre Darthard had a strong game putting up 18 points and three rebounds. Oklahoma only shot 36.4 percent from the field, but still won. Oklahoma is averaging 75.4 points while their defense is giving up 67.7 points per game. The offense is ranked 127th while the defense is ranked 68th. Javian McCollum is averaging 13.6 points while shooting 40.5 percent from the field and 31.2 percent from behind the three point line.
Oklahoma vs Texas Betting Prediction
Even if Texas doesn’t have Dylan Disu, I still think they are going to find success. Oklahoma has really looked bad the last month nad een in the last game they won they only shot 36.4 percent from the field. In this game, Oklahoma is going to really struggle to score, while Texas is going to have another strong game. Texas is going to pick up a comfortable victory, and they are going to cover the spread.
