On Monday matched up against NC Central, the Hornets were down 40-38 in the locker room. Delaware State was outscored 53-43 the rest of the way and ended up losing 93-81. Martaz Robinson was tops on 27 points with eight rebounds, two assists and two steals in the defeat.
ANDREW’S FREE NORFOLK STATE VS DELAWARE STATE PREDICTION
I’ll stick with Norfolk State. The Spartans had a bit of a close call versus Morgan State in their last outing, however everything worked out well. Norfolk State shot 51.6 percent from the field in that one and had 23 points off 14 Bears turnovers. The 35-27 rebounding deficit didn’t help, though. Still, it’s been a nice 9-1 run over the last 10 games for the Spartans.
Norfolk State had some issues the last time these teams met up, eking out a 65-64 home win on February 3. The Spartans shot just 40.4 percent from the field in that one with a tepid 10 assists but still managed to power out the victory. The road rematch may be tricky, but Norfolk State should be in control if all goes well.
Andrew’s Pick Norfolk State Spartans -2.5
