New Hampshire Wildcats
The Wildcats were sitting at 9-7 after 16 games this year. New Hampshire hit a 6-4 run over their next 10 games, beating NJIT, UMBC, Binghamton, UMass Lowell, Maine and NJIT again in that time. The losses were to Albany, Bryant, Vermont and UMBC otherwise in that time.
In their matchup with Albany on Thursday, New Hampshire was able to keep it close with a 42-41 first-half deficit. The Wildcats stumbled from there on a 49-26 run and lost 91-67. Trey Woodyard was the top scorer in the defeat with his 21 points, six rebounds and one steal.

Binghamton Bearcats
Over on the Bearcats’ side, they were coming off a five-game losing streak at 8-10 overall in late January. Binghamton went 4-4 over the next eight with wins over Maine, NJIT, Albany and NJIT again. The Bearcats took losses to Vermont, Bryant, UMBC and UMass Lowell during that stretch.
Matched up against Maine in their Thursday game, Binghamton had a tight game most of the way. The Bearcats posted 39 points in the first half, 23 in the second and 14 in overtime during a 76-74 victory. Leading the team in scoring was Gavin Walsh on 17 points and nine boards off the bench.
ANDREW’S FREE NEW HAMPSHIRE VS BINGHAMTON PREDICTION
I’ll lean toward Binghamton in this one. The Bearcats cut it very close against a middling Maine team in their last outing but everything worked out. Binghamton shot 45.2 percent from the field with a 40-30 rebounding edge in that one. That said, the foul shooting (9-of-21) was pretty ugly in a near-miss overtime win. Still, the Bearcats have scored a nice 69 or more points in six straight now.
The last meeting between these teams was a 79-73 overtime home win for New Hampshire back on January 25. Both teams shot pretty well (over 43.4 percent) but the 28 combined turnovers made for a sloppy outing. I like Binghamton to get some cover revenge at home this time, but you could certainly make a case either way.
