Howard Bison
The Bison posted a 5-11 stretch to open the season, then hit a 4-3 run in January. Those losses came versus Norfolk State, Morgan State and Hampton. Howard is 4-1 in their last five outings, beating Delaware State, NC Central, Morgan State and Coppin State with a lone loss to South Carolina State.
On Monday versus Coppin State, the Bison jumped out to a 38-29 edge by halftime. Howard kept the pace from there on 40 more points and took the win 78-69. Bryce Harris was the leading team scorer with 20 points, four assists and 16 rebounds for a double-double.

MD-Eastern Shore Hawks
Over on the Hawks’ side, they got off to a 4-9 start this year. MD-Eastern Shore lost five of the next six versus Coppin State, Howard, Delaware State, NC Central and South Carolina State. It’s been a 3-3 run since then with losses to Morgan State, NC Central and South Carolina State.
In the rematch with South Carolina State back on Monday, the Hawks held a 31-31 tie going into the second half. MD-Eastern Shore posted a 33-25 deficit the rest of the way in a 64-56 defeat. Troy Hupstead was the team’s top scorer with his 23 points and six rebounds in the loss.
ANDREW’S FREE HOWARD VS MD-EASTERN SHORE PREDICTION
I’ll lean Howard here. Not touching it, though. The Bison didn’t have too many issues versus a struggling Coppin State team in their last game. Howard hit 50 percent from the field with 38 rebounds and 14 team assists. The 19 turnovers were an issue though, so the Bison will need to clean up the ball control heading into Saturday.
Back on January 13 the last time these teams saw each other, Howard put up a 72-61 victory at home. The Bison notched 46.2 percent from the field with 37 rebounds in that one, but had some turnover issues with 14 total. Provided they can keep that in check this time Howard should be fine.
Andrew’s Pick Howard Bison -4
