Bowling Green Falcons
This year the Falcons kicked things off on a 14-4 run, taking losses to Oakland, Bellarmine, Western Kentucky and Akron in that time. Bowling Green is 6-3 in their last nine outings, beating Ohio, Northern Illinois, Miami-OH, Western Michigan, Ball State and Buffalo along the way.
Back on Tuesday versus Buffalo, the Falcons went into the second half with a 34-26 lead. Bowling Green finished things off on a 53-47 run and cruised to the victory 87-73. Marcus Hill was the top scorer in the win with 27 points, six rebounds and four assists in 35 minutes.
Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns
Over on the Louisiana side, their year started off on a sketchy .500 run through the first 16 games. The Cajuns would then hit a win streak over Arkansas State, Texas State, South Alabama, Arkansas State again, Texas State again, LA-Monroe and South Alabama again before a loss to Georgia State.
In their Wednesday matchup versus Georgia State, the Cajuns held a 39-30 edge in the locker room. Louisiana was outscored 48-30 in the second half however, eventually losing 78-69. Kobe Julien was the team’s leading scorer on 28 points, four rebounds and two steals.
ANDREW’S FREE BOWLING GREEN VS LOUISIANA PREDICTION
I’ll probably just stay with Bowling Green. The Falcons didn’t have a ton of trouble with Buffalo in their last game, shooting a nice 54.1 percent from the field with 36 rebounds and 19 team assists. That makes 72 or more points in nine straight games for Bowling Green, a 6-3 stretch.
As for Louisiana, they’ve scored well lately themselves with 69 or more points in nine of their last 10 outings. This will mark the sixth and final game in a home stand at the Cajundome; Louisiana has gone a nice 4-1 in the first five. That said, Bowling Green should provide a nice challenge if the Falcons are playing to their capabilities.
