Dayton Couldn’t Quite Might Comeback
Dayton won the first game against SIU Edwardsville but in the last game against Northwestern, they were defeated 71-66. Dayton outscored Northwestern 41-36 in the second half but it wasn’t enough as they ended up losing 71-66. Dayton completed 53.8 percent of the field and 52.2 percent from behind the three point line. DaRon Holmes II has been the top player for Dayton putting up 17 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. There were four different players that put up at least 11 points.
LSU Looks to Bounce Back
LSU opened up the season with a win against Mississippi Valley State but in the last game they really struggled. LSU faced off against Nicholls State and they were defeated by two points. LSU was down 44-25 at halftime, and although they made a big comeback, they still ended up just short. LSU used a balanced attack, but they didn’t really have a star player. Jalen Reed put up 14 points, eight rebounds, and one assist. Jordan Wright finished with 11 points, four rebounds, and one assist.

This LSU team is going to have a bad season, and the last game against Nicholls State showed exactly why. LSU got out to a slow start and by the time they started trying to make the comeback it was a little too late. In this game it will be Dayton that is going to get out to a fast start, and they won’t let it up in the second half. The better team here is Dayton and they are going to cover the spread.
