The Texas A&M Aggies and SMU Mustangs face off on Tuesday in a college basketball showdown at SMU Moody Coliseum.
Good Early Season Test for SMU
SMU comes into this game with a 3-0 record overall but we are going to really get a good look at how good or bad they are. In the last game against Lamar, they weren’t dominant but they scored 78 points on the way to the 11 point victory. At halftime they were leading, but in the second half they were actually outscored by one. Chuck Harris had a strong game putting up 18 points and for rebounds. There were three different players that put up 11 points and the offense will need to be strong again.
Texas A&M coming off a Solid Win
Texas A&M comes into this game 2-0 record and they sure looked good in the last game against Ohio State. Texas A&M gave up only 66 points to Ohio State and that was enough to secure the seven point victory. Texas A&M looks like they might have a big three and in the last game all three players put up 20 points. Tyrece Radford had quite the game finishing with 21 points and five rebounds. Even though they have a big three, they are going to need some of the other players to step up.
Shane’s Free Pick
SMU at home is getting too many points here. SMU’s offense has been good this season, and they are going to find success with the offense. Texas A&M should score plenty themselves, but SMU has too much offensive talent and they are going to keep this game close. It might not be a popular play, but SMU is going to cover the spread.
