Kansas vs Kentucky Prediction - College Basketball Picks 11/14/23
The Kansas Jayhawks and Kentucky Wildcats face off on Tuesday in a college basketball showdown in the Champions Classic at the United Center.
Kansas Has National Championship Dreams
Many believe the Kansas Jayhawks can win the National Championship and they have dominated the first two games. In the first game they beat NC Central 99-56 and in the last game they were able to knock off the Manhattan Jaspers 99-61. Against Manhattan they were up 44-19 at halftime and they never looked back on the way to the blowout victory. The Jayhawks were led by Hunter Dickinson and he finished with 18 points, eight rebounds, and two assists. There were five different players that finished with at least 10 points.
How Good Can Kentucky Be?
Kentucky really have high expectations for this season but they seem like a true wild card. Two games ago against New Mexico State, Kentucky was able to secure the 86-46 victory. In the last game against Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Kentucky scored 81 points and they ended up winning by 20 points. In the last game Kentucky only had seven players play and there has to be some concerns about the bench. Kentucky was led by Tre Mitchell and he finished with 18 points and eight rebounds. Antonio Reeves also had 21 points, and he’s going to need to run up the score here.
Shane’s Free Pick
Kansas is going to get the job done here. I don’t trust Kentucky’s bench compared to Kansas who have already proven they are a very deep team. Hunter Dickinson is coming off a game where he had 18 points and he’s going to have no issue running up the score here. Look for Kansas to score at least 75 points here, and that will be enough for them to get the job done. Back Kansas against the spread.
