The Jacksonville State Gamecocks and West Virginia Mountaineers face off on Tuesday in a college basketball showdown at WVU Coliseum. 

Jacksonville State Blew It Last Game

Jacksonville State sits with a 1-1 record and they blew the last game. Jacksonville State faced off against Utah Tech, and they were able to get into overtime, but it wasn’t enough as they ended up losing by two. The Gamecocks shot 41.1 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from behind the three point line. They hit five of 15 shots from deep and they are going to need to be more dynamic with the shooting. The Gamecocks were led by KyKy Tandy who put up 23 points. 

Could be  A Long Year for West Virginia 

West Virginia went through a lot this offseason, and they can’t have a whole lot of confidence heading into this game. In the last game against Monmouth, the offense scored 65 points, but the defense gave up 73 points and they ended up losing by eight. West Virginia shot only 31.3 percent from the field and 21.9 percent from behind the three point line. The Mountaineers didn’t really have a star and it was four different players that finished with at least 10 points.
