The Utah State Aggies and Bradley Braves face off on Saturday in a college basketball showdown at Carver Arena. 

Big Road Test for Utah State

Utah State has high expectations for this season, but this is a great early-season test to see how good this team might be. In the first game of the season against the South Dakota Mines, Utah State did exactly what they should have against a team of that talent level, dominated them. Utah State scored 51 points against South Dakota Mines in the first half and that was enough for the blowout victory. The offense ended up scoring 101 points. Guard Josh Uduje had a strong game finishing with 19 points, two rebounds, and one assist. In this game, Utah State need offensive success. 

Bradley Impresses in First Game

Bradley faced off against UAB in the first game and they went on the road and knocked them off by two points. It took overtime and they almost blew the game late, but they ended up holding on. Bradley was led by Malevy Leons and he finished with 24 points, 14 rebounds, and one assist. Duke Deen played 40 points and he finished with 15 points, four rebounds, and four assists. In this game, Bradley needs to play a full game. They can’t get out to a fast start and falter in the second half.

Bradley almost blew the first game against UAB, and I think Utah State is being overlooked in this game. Utah State is going to find plenty of success scoring all season and they are going to have no issue running up the score here. Look for Utah State to score at least 75 points here and that is going to be enough for them to cover the spread. Back Utah State against the spread. I think Utah State can win this game outright.
