The Texas State Bobcats and Miami of Ohio Redhawks face off on Saturday in a college basketball showdown at Millett Hall. This is a part of the MAC vs. Sun Belt challenge.
Texas State Struggled in First Game
Texas State faced off against Little Rock in the first game and the offense wasn’t good enough. In the second half the offense only scored 32 points and they ended up losing 71-66. Josh O’Garro had a strong game putting up 15 points, eight rebounds, and two assists.Brandon Love also finished with a double double putting up 13 points and 10 rebounds. There were three different players that finished with at least 12 points. In this game Texas State is going to need to find a way to get the offense going here, or this is going to be another loss and they will sit with an 0-2 record.
Miami of Ohio Has First Home Game
The Miami Redhawks return home after starting the season on the road, and really struggling. The Redhawks opened up the season against Evansville and they got out to a nice start. They were up 34-32 at half and they looked to be in good shape. In the second half though they were outscored 40-30 and ended up losing 72-64. The Redhawks were led by Darweshi Hunter who put up 21 points, six rebounds, and two assists. Ryan Mabrey was the only other player finishing in double figures putting up 10 points and four rebounds. In this game, the Redhawks need a more balanced attack.

Texas State is going to find success in this game. The Bobcats have a more balanced team and they are going to get more scoring from their bench. The Redhawks offense is going to struggle here, and their defense is going to struggle to slowdown Texas State. Texas State is going to score at least 70 points here and that will be the difference as the Bobcats are going to cover the spread.
