The Saint Louis Billikens will host the Illinois State RedBirds this Saturday for a non-conference matchup this weekend from the Chaifetz Arena on ESPN+. Illinois State leads the head-to-head series, 7-6, but SLU did wi the most recent meeting in 2021, 82-76.

Senior guard Malachi Poindexter led the way with team-highs in points (16) and rebounds (7) in the win over Lourdes. 

Former Monmouth forward scored 13 points and grabbed six boards in his first game with ILST. 

SIU transfer Dalton Banks dished out a team-high six assists in Tuesday’s victory.

Saint Louis enters at 2-0 after defeating Lincoln at home, 102-66. The Billikens picked up the routine win on Wednesday, and they’ll look to improve to 3-0 this weekend. SLU is scoring 88.5 points per game, on 47.9% shooting, while allowing 64.5 ppg.

Senior forward Terrence Hargrove Jr. posted a big double-double in the season opener, and he leads SLU in scoring (18.0) and rebounding (8.5). 

Richmond native Gibson Jimerson scored an efficient 16 points in the win over Lincoln, and he’s averaging 12.5 ppg and 3.5 apg. 

Junior guard Sincere Parker bounced back with 20 points after shooting poorly in the opener.
