The Texas A&M Aggies and Ohio State Buckeyes face off on Friday in a college basketball showdown at Value City Arena.
Ohio State Tested in First Game
Not many expected Ohio State to be tested against Oakland in the first game, but it took a big second half comeback to secure the 79-73 victory. The offense really didn’t have any questions and they used a balanced offensive attack to secure the victory. Zed Key, Bruce Thorton, and Roddy Gayle Jr all finished with 17 points. Jameson Battle also had a solid game finishing with nine points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Ohio State only shot 28 percent from deep and they need the three point shooting to improve.
Texas A&M Looked Dominant In First Game
Texas A&M comes into this game with a 1-0 record, but this will be a much bigger test. Texas A&M faced off against Texas A&M Commerece, and they were dominant all over the court. The offense scored 78 points but even more impressive was the defense only giving up 46 points. In the second half the defense gave up only 19 points and they are going to need the defense to step up here. Hayden Hefner was the top player finishing with 19 points, four rebounds, and two assists.

Texas A&M is going to pick up a victory on the road. Ohio State’s defense wasn’t good in the last game against Oakland and they are going to really struggle again in this game. Look for Texas A&M’s offense to have no issue running up the score and that is going to be the difference as the Aggies are going to get the job done.
