The Rider Broncs and Marquette Golden Eagles face off on Friday in a college basketball showdown at Fiserv Forum.
Rider Dominantes First Game
Rider faced off against Immaculata in the first game of the season and they did exactly what was expected, dominated them. Rider scored 61 points in the first and they never looked back on the way to the 113-67 victory. Mervin James had a strong game putting up 18 points, four rebounds, and four assists. There were six different players that finished with at least 10 points. In this game it’s going to be a whole lot more difficult and they are going to need the defense to step up in a big way here. If the defense struggles, this is going to be a long game.
Marquette Looks for Another Easy Victory

Shane’s Free Pick
Rider looked good in the first game, but this is a whole different level of competition. Marquette scored 92 points in the first game and they are going to have no issue running up the score here. Rider’s offense is going to struggle to get to even 50 points here, and that is going to be the difference here as Marquette is going to get the job done Back Marquette against the spread here.
