The UCLA Bruins are 1-0 this year after they defeated St. Francis by a score of 75-44 in their last game. UCLA held St. Francis to only 22 points in each half and they were able to score 43 points in the second half to pull away. The Bruins shot 50.9% from the field, 22.2% on three pointers, and 62.5% on free throws. UCLA only won the rebounding battle by two (32-30), had 18 assists, and turned the ball over seven times. UCLA allowed 44 points on 33.3% field goal shooting and they forced 21 turnovers in the win.
UCLA struggled a little bit in the first half of their first game, but they poured it on in the second half and played great defense. Lafayette was close at halftime, but they fall apart in the second half for the 21-point loss. Lafayette will now have to go to UCLA and play a very solid Bruins team. This spread is pretty big, and for good reason. If the Leopards lost by 21 points to St. Joes, UCLA should be able to win by 30+ points. Take the Bruins here.
