The Arizona Wildcats and Duke Blue Devils face off on Friday in a college football showdown at Cameron Indoor Stadium. This is a huge early season test for both teams.
Arizona Had Nice Tune Up In First Game
Arizona faced off against Morgan State in the first game of the season and they sure looked impressive. Arizona put up 122 points against Morgan State and that was enough for the blowout victory. The defense was also quite impressive giving up only 59 points. At the end of the first half they were up 61-26. Arizona had a balanced attack and they had eight different players that finished with at least 10 points. Arizona shot 55.3 percent from the field and 44.4 percent from behind the three point line. Kylan Boswell finished with 18 points, five rebounds, and one assist.
Filipowski Starts Season off Strong
The Duke Blue Devils faced off against the Dartmouth Big Green and they were able to secure the 92-52 victory. At half time they were up 42-21 and in the second half they scored 50 points on the way to the blowout victory. Kyle Filipowski had a strong game finishing with 25 points, seven rebounds, and one assist. Caleb Foster also had a strong game finishing with 15 points and three rebounds. Duke shot 64.4 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from behind the three point line.
Shane’s Free Pick
Arizona is getting too many points here. Arizona scored 122 points in the first game and they are going to have no issue running up the score again in this game. Duke is also going to find offensive success here, but it’s not going to be a spot where they are going to be scoring 80 or 85 points. Arizona is going to use the balanced attack to find success again here, and the Wildcats will cover the spread.
