Air Force vs LIU Prediction - College Basketball Picks 11/10/23

The Air Force Falcons and Long Island University Sharks face off on Friday in a college basketball showdown at the Steinberg Wellness Center. 

Air Force’s Offense Wasn’t Good Enough in Game 1

Air Force faced off against Portland State in the first game and although they were favored, they really struggled in the game. Air Force scored only 55 points against Portland State and they ended up losing by seven points. At halftime they were down by four points and in the second half they didn’t bounce back on the way to the defeat. Air Force was led by Chase Beasley and Beau Becker who both finished with 14 points. Ethan Taylor also finished with 11 points, five assists, and two rebounds. In this game, Air Force needs to find a way to get the offense going early here. 

Can LIU Be Better Than Last Year?

LIU finished last season with only three wins, and the hope is they can take a big step forward. LIU tried to play fast place last year, but they didn’t have the players to run up the score. LIU didn’t get a whole lot of success from the point guard position but they hope that some transfers are going to help that. Tai Strickland was brought in from Georgia Southern where he averaged 72. Points per game last year. Terrell Strickland was also brought in after playing last year at James Madison. There is no doubt that LIU is going to want to push the pace is, the question is will the defense hold up.
