They almost blew the game against Providence but they were able to secure the 73-66 victory. Jordan Hawkins had a strong game for UConn finishing with 19 points and four rebounds. UConn is averaging 78.8 points while their defense is giving up 64.9 points per game. They looked impressive in the first half on Thursday, but they can’t take their foot off the gas in the second half. Adama Sanogo is averaging 16.9 points while shooting 58.6 percent from the field.

Both of these teams had one bad half on Thursday but the team I trust more is UConn. It seems Shaka Smart’s teams always start to tighten up the closer it gets to tournament time and they looked so awful in the first half.
