Youngstown State at Fresno State: 3/23/22 College Basketball Picks and Predictions

The Youngstown State Penguins and Fresno State Bulldogs face off on Wednesday in the College Insider Tournament at the Save Mart Center. 

Youngstown State comes into this game with a 19-14 record overall and they have gone 14-17 against the spread. The Penguins last game came against Morgan State last Wednesday and they were able to win 70-65. Before that game Youngstown State had lost three games in a row. Dwayne Cohill has been the best player for Youngstown State averaging 14.6 points while shooting 45.5 percent from the field and 42 percent from behind the three point line. There are three different players that are averaging at least 12.8 points per game. 

On the other side of this matchup is the Fresno State Bulldogs who sit with a 20-13 record overall and they have won two of their last three games. In the last game against Eastern Washington, the offense was elite scoring 83 points and that led to the nine-point victory. Fresno State is averaging 65.2 points while their defense is giving up 59 points per game. Orlando Robinson has been the best player for Fresno State averaging 19.5 points while shooting 48.4 percent from the field and 33.7 percent from behind the three-point line. Isaiah Hill has also been good averaging 10.1 points while shooting 39.3 percent from the field. In this game if the defense is good for Fresno State they should be in good shape to get the job done, but if the defense struggles in this game they could have their season end in a disappointing way.
