The Oregon State Beavers and Washington Huskies face off on Saturday in a college basketball showdown at the Hec Edmundson Pavillion. When these two teams faced off on January 20th it was Washington that won 82-72.
Terrell Brown was the top player for Washington scoring 27 points. The top player for Oregon State was Dashawn Davis who finished with 17 points.
It’s been an awful season for Oregon State who currently sits with a 3-26 record and they have gone 9-19-1 against the spread. In the last game against Washington State, Oregon State was competitive, but they couldn’t get the job done in the second half, but lost by four points. Oregon State is averaging 68.2 points while their defense is giving up 77.9 points per game. Jared Lucas has been the top player for Oregon State averaging 13.2 points while shooting 40.7 percent from the field and 37.6 percent from behind the three point line.
On the other side of this matchup is the Washington Huskies who sit with a 15-14 record overall and they have gone 16-13 against the spread. Even though Washington hasn’t had the best season, they are coming off a big win. The offense put up 78 points and that led to the 11 point victory. Washington is averaging 70.3 points while their defense is giving up 72.8 points per game. Terrell Brown Jr has been the top player for Washington averaging 21.6 points while shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 19.6 percent from behind the three point line.
Washington is 5-0 against the spread in their last five home games against a team with a losing road record. Oregon State is 0-7-1 against the spread in their last eight games played on Saturday. The over is 5-0-1 in Washington’s last six home games. The over is 9-1-1 in Washington’s last 11 games overall.
Washington is the better team and they are going to have no issue running up the score against Oregon State. I don’t trust this Beavers offense though, and this game is going to get out of hand early. Back Washington against the spread.
