In their last contest, the Bruins of UCLA had no trouble with North Florida as they extend to 5-0 on the season. Early in the season I had questions about UCLA’s dominance but they are showing that their final four appearance last year wasn’t a fluke.
Five different players finished in double figures for the Bruins. Guard Jaime Jaquez Jr. led the way with 20 points, with guards Johnny Juzang and Jules Bernard not far behind with 17 and 15, respectively.
UCLA relies on Johnny Juzang who has been making a great name for himself in the last year. He is averaging 21.5 points and 4.5 rebounds for the Bruins. Behind him is Jules Barnard and Jamie Jaquez who are both contributing 18 points per contest.
The Bruins are looking like a true offensive power house as they rank second in the nation in points per game with just under 95 per contest. They are also limiting opponents to 68 points again. Not only does this tam win, but they dominate as their closest margin on the year was a 9 point victory over the Villanova Wildcats in overtime.
The Bellarmine Knights have had to go up against some of the most elite teams in the country to start their season off. The Knights opened with a 96-67 loss to then No.7 Purdue. They faced top-ranked Gonzaga on Friday at home and lost, 92-50.
The Knights are led in scoring by Dylan Penn who is averaging 15. There is no other double digit scorer for the Bellarmine Knights. This is their second season in Division 1 basketball.
The Bruins are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 neutral site games and are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
The Knights are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.
I like the Bruins to cover the spread against the Knights as these two teams aren’t even in the same league of basketball. This is one of the best versus one of the worst teams in the all of college basketball.
