Furman trailed by a 43-33 margin early in the 2nd half, however, the Paladins offense was lights out the remainder of the way and Furman was able to pull away after taking a 68-59 lead with 3:32 left in regulation. The Wofford Terriers won their 2nd straight game and improved to 14-8 on the season after defeating the Western Carolina Catamounts, 80-56, this past Saturday. Wofford had no trouble generating offense in the 1st half against Western Carolina and had no trouble securing the victory after going into halftime with a 50-27 lead. The Paladins are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games overall and just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 Saturday games. The Terriers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 Saturday games.
Furman was not able to pick up the win at home against Wofford, however, I think the Paladins are just the better overall team as they come into this game ranked 32nd in scoring offense, 22nd in FG%, & 101st in scoring defense. Wofford is a tough team to beat at home, however, their defense is not anything more than average and after seeing the Terriers get beat recently by Chattanooga & ETSU, I think the play here is to take Furman to cover this small road spread. Good Luck!
