Utah had no answers on the defensive end for Stanford and could not fight back after the Cardinal took a 56-40 lead with 9:21 left in regulation. Utah shot 42.6% from the field and 26.1% from beyond the arc while Stanford shot 54.4% from the field and 44.4% from beyond the arc. The Oregon State Beavers lost their 3rd straight game and dropped to 10-1 on the season after being defeated by the Arizona State Sun Devils, 75-73, this past Sunday. Oregon State fought back from a double-digit halftime deficit to make it a game late, however, Arizona State was able to take the lead for good after a Remy Martin three-pointer with :37 seconds left in regulation gave the Sun Devils a 71-68 lead. Oregon State shot 43.9% from the field and 36.8% from beyond the arc while Arizona State shot 42.6% from the field and 26.7% from beyond the arc. The Utes are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Thursday games. The Beavers are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 home games and 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
Oregon State has been solid at home this season, however, this is not a very strong Pac-12 team and the Beavers at times can struggle offensively as they come into this game ranked just 189th in scoring offense & 261st in FG%. Utah struggled against Stanford, however, this is a team that has played much better as of late, including a road win at Colorado, and as I think the Utes defense will be able to give Oregon State some trouble, I am taking Utah to cover this small road spread. Good Luck!
