The UNC Greensboro Spartans won their 2nd straight game and improved to 15-6 on the season after defeating the Mercer Bears, 77-74, this past Saturday. UNC Greensboro looked like they had the game well in control after holding a 72-56 lead with just 3:19 left in regulation, however, the Spartans had to hold on at the end after a game-typing three-point attempt by the Bears Ross Cummings came up short as time expired. UNC Greensboro shot 45.5% from the field and 37.0% from beyond the arc while Mercer shot 46.4% from the field and 41.7% from beyond the arc. UNC Greensboro outrebounded Mercer by a 39-32 margin and forced 12 turnovers in the victory. Leading the way for the Spartans was Isaiah Miller who had 15 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, & 2 steals.
On the season, UNC Greensboro is averaging 72.9 ppg on 42.2% shooting from the field. The Spartans are averaging 7.3 three-pointers per game on 29.2% shooting from beyond the arc. Defensively, UNC Greensboro is holding their opponents to an average of 66.9 ppg on 41.0% shooting from the field. The Spartans have a rebound margin of 3.2 and a turnover margin of 3.4.
The VMI Keydets improved to 11-10 on the season after defeating the Samford Bulldogs, 85-56, this past Saturday. UNC Greensboro dominated Samford on both ends of the court in the 2nd half and had no trouble securing the victory after taking a 64-39 lead with 12:11 left in regulation. VMI shot 42.2% from the field and 38.5% from beyond the arc while Samford shot just 30.9% from the field and 17.1% from beyond the arc. VMI outrebounded Samford by a 52-38 margin and committed 13 turnovers in the victory. Leading the way for the Keydets was Sean Conway who had 22 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, & 1 block.

The Spartans are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 Wednesday games and 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a ATS win. The Keydets are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 Wednesday games and 11-1 ATS in their last 12 home games.
UNC Greensboro had no trouble taking care of business against VMI earlier this season in a 76-59 win at the end of January, however, the Spartans cannot sleep on VMI on the road as the Keydets are 10-1 on their home court this season. VMI has one of the better offenses in all of college basketball as they come into this game ranked 26th in scoring offense, 50th in FG%, & 3rd in three-pointers made per game and as I like what I have seen out of the Keydets recently, which included an OT win at Wofford, I think the play here is to take VMI and the points. Good Luck!
