The William & Mary Tribe will travel to the Daskalakis Athletic Center to take on the Drexel Dragons this Sunday afternoon in College Basketball action.

William & Mary trailed by a just 38-32 margin at halftime, however, was outplayed on both ends of the court in the 2nd half and could not fight back after an 8-0 Dragons run gave Drexel a 66-47 lead with 7:47 left in regulation. William & Mary shot 44.0% from the field and 35.3% from beyond the arc while Drexel shot 61.0% from the field and 41.2% from beyond the arc. William & Mary was outrebounded by Drexel by a 32-20 margin and lost the turnover battle by a 14-10 margin in the loss. Leading the way for the Tribe was Yuri Covington (15 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal) while the Dragons were led by Camren Wynter (19.0 points, 11 assists, 5 rebounds, 1 steal).

Offensively, Drexel had been led by Camren Wynter (18.0 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 4.7 apg, 1.6 spg), James Butler (14.2 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 1.6 apg), Zach Walton (10.8 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1.9 apg), & T.J. Defensively, Drexel was holding their opponents to an average of 64.4 ppg on 45.3% shooting from the field. The Dragons had a rebound margin of 6.1 and a turnover margin of 0.1.
The Tribe are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Dragons are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 home games and 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a home favorite.
William & Mary has lost 4 oft their last 5 games and it’s been a struggle on both ends of the court for the Tribe this season as they come into this game ranked just 291st in scoring offense, 307th in FG%, & 225th in scoring defense. Drexel can be a bit inconsistent on the offensive end however, the Dragons have been solid at home posting a 3-1 record and have been good keeping opposing teams off the scoreboard as they rank 53rd in scoring defense.
We like Drexel on Saturday and as I just can’t trust this William & Mary offense, especially on the road, my initial lean is to take Drexel to cover what I imagine will be a 10-point spread on Sunday. Check back later when the line is released!
Update (1/17) - Keeping with my original thoughts and going with Drexel. Good Luck!
