The Boise State Broncos will travel to Arena Auditorium to take on the Wyoming Cowboys this Wednesday night in College Basketball action.
The Boise State Broncos will look to sweep their 2-game series against the Wyoming Cowboys after the Broncos defeated the Cowboys by an 83-60 margin this past Monday night. Boise State dominated Wyoming on both ends of the court and was able to pull away in the 2nd half after taking a 61-43 lead with 14:11 left in regulation. Boise State shot 51.5% from the field and 33.3% from beyond the arc while holding Wyoming to just 38.9% shooting from the field and 31.6% from beyond the arc. Boise State outrebounded Wyoming by a 47-23 margin while each teams committed 8 turnovers. Leading the way for the Broncos was Abu Kigab (21 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 blocks) while the Cowboys were led by Marcus Williams (16 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block).
On the season, Boise State is averaging 81.0 ppg on 47.3% shooting from the field. The Broncos are averaging 7.9 three-pointers per game on 35.8% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Boise State has been led by Derrick Alston Jr. (16.7 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 2.4 apg), Abu Kigab (13.6 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 2.5 apg, 1.6 spg), Marcus Shaver (13.2 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 1.7 apg, 1.4 spg), & RayJ Dennis (11.4 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 3.4 apg, 1.6 spg).
Defensively, Boise State is holding their opponents to an average of 61.3 ppg on 39.4% shooting from the field. The Broncos have a rebound margin of 8.2 and a turnover margin of 5.2.
On the season, Wyoming is averaging 82.0 ppg on 46.4% shooting from the field. The Cowboys are averaging 10.0 three-pointers per game on 38.0% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Wyoming has been led by Marcus Williams (17.4 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 4.0 apg, 1.3 spg), Hunter Maldonado (14.1 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 5.6 apg, 1.4 spg), Kenny Foster (10.3 ppg, 4.1 rpg), & Hunter Thompson (9.3 ppg, 3.6 rpg).
Defensively, Wyoming is allowing their opponents to average 75.0 ppg on 45.5% shooting from the field. The Cowboys have a rebound margin of -3.4 and a turnover margin of 4.1.
The Broncos are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and 6-0 SU in their last 6 games against Wyoming. The Cowboys are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games.
Boise State dominated Wyoming in their first matchup and it’s hard to image that the Broncos won’t be able to do the same thing as they should have a huge advantage on the boards and their 35th ranked scoring offense should have no trouble putting up points against a Wyoming defense that ranks just 277th in scoring defense & 263rd in defensive FG%. Wyoming is led by their offense, however, it’s struggled over the past two games, combining for just 121 points, and as I think Boise State will come out strong in this one, I think the Broncos do enough to cover this double-digit road spread. Good Luck!
