The Line: Bowling Green +1 -- Over/Under: 147.5
The Toledo Zips (17-15, CONF 9-10) and Bowling Green Falcons (21-10, CONF 12-6) face off in the MAC Tournament at the Quicken Loans Arena. Bowling Green beat Toledo in both teams this season.
Toledo is hot coming into the MAC Tournament having won five of the last six games. The one loss during that stretch was a bad once losing by 21 points to Northern Illinois. Over the last six games, Toledo has covered four of the spreads.
On the season Toledo is averaging 73.7 points while the defense is giving up 71.1 points. Over the last five games Toledo’s defense has been a little better giving up only 69 points per game.
Toledo is led by guard Marreon Jackson who is averaging 19.8 points per game while shooting 40.9 percent from the field.
Bowling Green was having quite the season but they come into this one really struggling having lost three games in a row. In two of those last three games, Bowling Green was the favorite in two of the games, but they couldn’t get the job done.
Overall this season Bowling Green is averaging 73.4 points. While the defense is giving up 73.1 points per game. In the last game against Buffalo, the Falcons scored 84 points, but the defense gave up 88.
Against the Bulls, Justin Turner put up 23 points and Dylan Frye added another 20 points for Bowling Green.Turner has been the best player for the Bulls all season averaging 18.8 points while shooting 42.7 percent from the field.
The under is 7-1 in Toledo’s last eight games played on a neutral site. Toledo is 7-18 against the spread in their last 26 games overall.
Both of the previous matchups between these two teams this year were high scoring and there should be no shortage of that in this game. Look for Bowling Green to push the pace early and for Toledo to keep pace. Both teams should finish with around 80 points which will push this well over the total.
