The Miami Hurricanes and Clemson Tigers will face off at Greensboro Coliseum this Wednesday afternoon in the 2nd round of the New York Life ACC Men’s Tournament.
The Miami Hurricanes finished their regular season with an overall record of 15-15 and earned the 9-seed in the ACC Men’s Tournament after finishing conference play with a 7-13 record. Miami started the season with a 9-3 record which included a solid win at Illinois, however, the Hurricanes struggled in conference play, at one point losing 7 of 8 games. Miami played better as the season went on and come into the conference tournament with some momentum as the Hurricanes had a close 46-44 loss against the 22nd ranked Virginia Cavaliers and finished their regular season with a 69-65 (OT) victory at home against Syracuse.
On the season, Miami is averaging 71.4 ppg on 43.1% shooting from the field. The Hurricanes are averaging 6.9 three-pointers per game on 31.8% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Miami has been led by Chris Lykes (15.2 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.1 spg), Dejan Vasiljevic (13.1 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 1.1 apg), and Kameron McGusty (12.5 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 1.6 apg).

The Clemson Tigers finished their regular season with an overall record of 15-15 and earned the 8-seed in the ACC Men’s Tournament after finishing conference play with a 9-11 record. Clemson comes into the conference tournament losing 3 of their last 4 games, however, the Tigers were able to pick up plenty of signature wins this season which includes victories against Florida State, Duke, and Louisville.
On the season, Clemson is averaging 66.4 ppg on 42.7% shooting from the field. The Tigers are averaging 8.1 three-pointers per game on 31.5% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Clemson has been led by Aamir Simms (13.0 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 2.6 apg, 1.0 spg), Tevin Mack (12.3 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 1.1 spg), John Newman III (9.4 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 2.2 apg, 1.0 spg).

The Hurricanes are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games and 7-3 SU in their last 10 games agianst Clemson. The Tigers are 16-4 ATS on the season and 2-0 ATS in neutral site games this year.
Miami comes into this game ranked 166th in scoring offense, 282nd in scoring defense, and 251st in defensive FG%.
Clemson comes into this match-up ranked 299th in scoring offense, T-37th in scoring defense, and 79th in defensive FG%.
Miami was able to pick up one their more impressive ACC victories of the season against Clemson in a 73-68 (OT) on the road, however, the Hurricanes have struggled for the most part away from home which includes being 1-3 ATS in neutral site games. Clemson can be a bit inconsistent, especially on the offensive end, however, as the Tigers defense should give Miami trouble and for the fact that the Tigers have shown this season that they can beat the best that the ACC has to offer, I think the play here is to take Clemson to cover his small spread. Good Luck!
