The Alabama Crimson Tide (16-14, CONF 8-9) and Missouri Tigers (14-16, CONF 6-11) face off in an SEC showdown at Mizzou Arena. Alabama beat Mizzou 88-74 earlier this season.
There weren’t many expectations surrounding Alabama heading into the season and noe one is really complaining about what they have done this season. OVer the last ten games, Alabama has won four games and covered four of the spreads.
Alabama is a team that likes to get up and run but the defense has really let them down at times. On the road this season ALabama is averaging 85.9 points per game while the defense is giving up 85.5 points.
Alabama is led by Kira Lewis Jr who is averaging 18.5 points while shooting 46 percent from deep and 36.9 percent from the field. Alabama is also expected to get back one of their leading scorers John Petty Jr. who has been dealing with an elbow injury.
Missouri was playing some good basketball a couple of weeks ago but they are back to struggling having lost three of the last four games. In the last two games the offense hasn’t scored more than 67 points and the offense is going to need to find a way to get going.
The defense also needs to play better than they did the first game against Alabama when they gave up 88 points.
Over the last five games Missouri is averaging 66 points while their defense is giving up 68 points. Missouri is led by Dru Smith who is averaging 12.5 points while shooting 41.4 percent from the field.
Alabama is 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 road games. The over is 6-2 in Alabama’s last eight games overall. The over is 7-1 in Missouri’s last eight home games. The over is 6-2in MIzzou’s last eight games overall.
The first time Alabama and Missouri scored there was plenty of scoring and it’s going to happen again in this game. Look for Alabama to run up the score, and Missouri is going to have to score plenty to try and keep up. Back the over to cash with ease.
