The Washington Huskies (14-16, CONF 4-13) and Arizona Wildcats (20-10, CONF 10-7) face off in a Pac 12 showdown at McKale Center. Arizona beat Washington 75-72 earlier this season.
Washington has been a major disappointment this season, but they hope their last win can be a stepping stone to a run to the NCAA tournament. Over the last ten games, Washington has won only two games, but one of those was over Arizona State in their last game.
The Huskies offense was elite putting up 90 points and they were able to win outright even though they were 5.5 point underdogs. Forward Nahziah Carter paced Washington putting up 23 points, three rebounds, and three assists.
Away from home this season the Huskies are giving up 64.8 points per game while giving up 68.6 points.
Arizona at times this season has looked like one of the best teams in college basketball, but at other times they have really struggled.
In Arizona’s last game it was the offense that was the difference putting up 83 points against Washington State on the way to a blowout victory.
At home this season Arizona State has a 13-3 record and they have been a complete team averaging 83.1 points while giving up 62.4.
Arizona’s best player is Zeke Nnaji who is averaging 16.4 points while shooting 57.9 points per game. Nnaji is going to be an x-factor in this game and going forward and they need him to have a big game.
Washington is 1-8 against the spread in their last nien games played on Saturday. Washington is 1-7 against the spread in their last eight road games. Washington is 2-10 against the spread in their last 12 games overall. Arizona is 8-21-1 against the spread in their last 30 games played on Saturday. The under is 12-2 in Arizona’s last 14 games played on Saturday.
Washington is coming off a big win, but that game was a fluke and they will go back to their old ways in this game. Look for the Huskies offense to struggle and that will be enough for Arizona to win this game and cover the spread.
