The Bryant Bulldogs (15-16, CONF 7-11) and Saint Francis Red Flash (20-9, CONF 13-5) face off in a Northeast Conference Tournament game at DeGol Arena. This is a conference tournament game, but it’s played on Saint Francis’s home court. The home team won each of the two matchups this season between the Bulldogs and Red Flash.
Bryant hasn’t had a terrible season, and there really isn’t a reason they couldn’t make a run in the tournament if they play a couple of perfect games. Bryant had lost two games in a row, but in the last game they beat Wagner 80-59.Bryant has only covered the spread in four of their last ten games.
The offense has been fine for Bryant, but the defense has let them down giving up 71.2 points per game.
Bryant is led by guard Adam Grant who is averaging 16.4 points while shooting 39.7 percent from the field. In Bryant’s last game against Wagner it was Grant who put up 29 points and he hit seven shots from deep.
Saint Francis had won nine games in a row but they are coming off a loss against Robert Morris. In that game, Saint Francis gave up 78 points and that led to a loss.
At home this season, Saint Francis is averaging 75.9 points per game while shooting 46.4 percent from the field.
Guard Isaiah Blackmon is the star of the Red Flash averaging 19.2 points while shooting 45.5 percent from the field.
Bryant is 2-7 against the spread in their last nine road games. The under is 8-3 in Bryant’s last 11 games overall.
Saint Francis is 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games overall. Saint Francis is 7-3 against the spread in their last ten games played on Wednesday.
Saint Francis has had a lot of success covering spreads as of late and there is no reason they can’t get the job done again in this game. Saint Francis is going to score close to 75 or 77 points and that will be enough to cover the spread.
