The Arizona Wildcats (19-8, CONF 9-5) and USC Trojans (19-9, CONF 8-7) face off in a Pac 12 showdown at the Galen Center. Arizona knocked off USC 85-80 when the two teams faced off in February.
Arizona is one of the best teams in the Pac-12 and coming into this game they have won three of the last four games. The one loss for Arizona during that stretch was in their last game against the Oregon Ducks.
The Wildcats have been a strong team at home, but away from home they only have a 4-4 record. Away from home, the Wildcats offense hasn’t been an elite averaging only 67.4 points per game, and each of their last two games on the road they haven’t broken 70 points.
Over the last five games Arizona is averaging 70 points per game while the defense has been giving up 62.6 points
Arizona is led by forward Zeke Nnaji who is averaging 16.3 points while shooting almost 60 percent from the field.
The USC Trojans have been up and down this season and right now they are really struggling. They come into this game having lost five of their last seven games, but during that stretch they have covered five spreads.
At home this season USC has an 11-2 record and their defense has locked down at home giving up only 64.8 points per game.
USC is led by Onyeka Okongwu who is averaging 16.7 points. 8.9 rebounds and shooting over 62 percent from the field.
Even though USC has struggled as of late, Okongwu’s production hasn’t slipped and it’s up to the rest of the guys to step up.
USC’s second and third-leading scorer’s Jonah Mathews and Nick Rakocevic are both questionable for this game and if they can’t go that is a big blow to the home team’s chances.
The under is 39-18-1 in USC’s last 58 home games. The under is 35-17-1 in USC’s last 53 games against the Pac 12.
Even if everyone plays for USC it won't matter, Arizona is going to have no trouble in this game. Arizona’s defense is going to lock down and that will be enough to get the job.
