The Portland Pilots (9-20, CONF 1-13) and San Francisco Dons (18-11, CONF 7-7) face off in a West Coast Conference showdown at the War Memorial Gym. Portland knocked off San Francisco 76-65 earlier this season in one of the biggest upsets in conference play.
Portland is still trying to build back up their program and coming into this game they have lost ten games in a row. On the road this season Portland has only two wins and the defense has let them down big time giving up 78.9 points per game.
In each of the last three games the Pilots haven’t been able to hit the 60 point mark, and if they want any chance in this game the offense is going to need to be better. Portland is led by Isaiah White who comes into this game averaging 12.2 points while shooting 42.2 percent from the field.
San Francisco has some big wins this season including over BYU, but they have also terrible losses like their game against Portland earlier this season.
In San Francisco’s last game against Pepperdine they were 7.5 point favorites but it took overtime to win by two points.
Over the last five games, San Francisco's offense hasn’t been as strong averaging 62.2 points while the defense is giving up 68.6 points.
At home this the Dons are averaging 76.8 points per game and that offense is going to need to run up the score again.
Portland is 1-6-1 against the spread in their last eight road games. Portland is 5-16-1 against the spread in their last 22 games overall. Portland is 6-15 against the spread in their last 21 games against San Francisco.
The under is 6-2 in the last eight meetings between Portland and San Francisco. The over is 18-7-1 in San Francisco’s last 26 home games.
Portland knocked off San Francisco earlier this season but that won’t be happening again in this game. Look for the Dons to run up the score and Portland won’t have an answer. Back Portland to win the game and cover the spread.
